BARNANA WINE N DINE
BARNANA~
The first question you may ask: Why on earth would someone name a restaurant
this way ??
Well there’s a funny story in here~ In Kuching
(or maybe other place), people tends to say ‘bo jio’ to their friends whenever
they’re not being invited to an outing. And in Hokkien (a common dialect in
Kuching), ‘bo’ means ‘no’, while ‘jio’ has de same meaning as the word
‘banana’, hence the name ‘Barnana’ indicates a culture of ‘inviting your
friends for an outing!’ And to BARNANA it is!
